74 Squadron Lightnings to RAF Tengah 1967 and Return 1971 to RAF Akrotiri

I am interested in the details of the Outward operation under the name Exercise Hydraulic in 1967 and the Return in 1971 under the name Panther Trail.In particular the Victor Tanker side of these operations.

I went out to Seletar at the same time. 30MU where we serviced the airbourne radars. The only thing I can help you with though is that not all aircraft flew out there. Some went by sea, cocooned on the deck. The W.O. in charge of them for the trip, later got in hot water as some airframes were salt damaged due to his negligence. Story goes that he was drunk the whole way there.
