Anyone else seen the vid? Westlife crooning in front of a 747, on which one of the engine mounts has been modded to carry twin turbofans, a la VC10.
Is it the Brunty 747?
Anyone know the story?

The real mystery is why you were watching a Westlife video!!:D
Heh, I temporarily left the Flypast Forum and was ‘forced’ to watch it in order to spend time with Mrs SFF in the living room. Naturally she was a little irked when conversation about friends, Christmas, events of the day etc was diverted when I exclaimed about the interesting nacelle arrangement on the Boeing and started ranting on about Brunty etc. 🙂

My thoughts too ! If i were that way inclined in a musical taste type of way i would not admit to such a taste in public 😀

I think Air Atlanta did most of the Falklands flights so they may have used it before they retired it.
The Basrah run we did was MOD chartered

Was that 747 used for MoD charter work (Falklands etc), looks familier?

Dunsfold 2007
Basrah 2003 (in better days!)
This is an aircraft I know well as I worked as crew on her for two years while at European Aviation Air Charter. When EAAC came to an abrupt end in 2004 this aircraft went on to fly for Air Atlanta Europe for another year before being retired to Dunsfold
photos of G-BDXJ that I have taken

It can frequently be seen in the background on Top Gear.

Dunsfold 747 which was modded for the last Bond film.
