747? out of LGW ABOUT 18.30 Fri 4/8/06

I wonder if anyone can help with this—tonight about 18.40 hrs climbing out of LGW on a Seaford departure was I am sure a 747 –it went into the cloud before I could see the tail colours or get to my scanner!!!!
I know that Virgin Nigeria and DAS air are normally seen on Seaford deps–not many other large planes grace us with their presence!!
I would love to know what it was if anyone has the answer!
There was a MON to Skiathos on the frequency when I got to my scanner but I dont think that MON have 747’s OR DO THEY???????
Cargo maybe???????????
Thanks a lot!

It was a TravelcityDirect 747-300, on route to SFB

Virgin already have 19 contracts with other airlines for widebody Airbus and 747 maintenance at the new LGW maintenance hangar. Could it be something returning home after maintenance?

No, MON don’t have 747 but it may have been a sub or could have been another Lourdes charter.
