757 best and worst

As there will be no more 757 aircraft produced, i thought i’d start a thread and get some pics rolling in, so show the forum the 757 at its best and worst.

First the 757s showing off
Second BY 757 in the mud after landing in heavy storms at Girona (NB* No fatalities)

I didn´t remember any LTU crash in the last 10-15 years, only a burned out Tristar in the mid 90´s in Dusseldorf Maintance Center.

As I have said many times, I have flown on that 757 involved in that incident (G-BYAG), and I flew to GRO just a few weeks before that incident happened (Though not on G-BYAG), and I know someone that was on that a/c when that incident occured! (Spooky).

Off the top of my head the 757 has one hell of a safety record. If im right i dont think a 757 has ever crashed due to a tech problem ? I think there has always been an outside factor. However that mabye wrong ?

The Aero Peru and Birgin Air crashes come close to technical, but are not. ( gaffer or duct tape over the static ports and pitots).

Most of the 757 crashes are down pilot error unfortunately or, sadly, terrorist acts.

I think the 2nd pics shows the 757 at its best. It saved all passengers. Flying around in a clear blue sky can be done by most planes.

I didn’f fly much on the 757 : Icelandair , BA and UA .

Does someone has figure about the number of accident with a 757 involved?
One was involved on the pentagone I guess on 9/11 , an other AA 757 crashed in south america, but I guess I shouldn’t rely my old memory… 🙂
