75th Battle Of Britain anniversary…crash sites being marked?

A few hundred yards from my home is the crash site of Sgt Feliks Gmur from 151 Squadron who was shot down on the 30th August 1940. When I drove past the other day I noticed that a small plaque that contained his portrait, and streaming red and white ribbons was attached to a tree very close to his crash site.

Has anyone else noticed similar items placed near to other B of B crash sites or is this a one off?
