Ironically, the non-ER version of the 773 has ample range to handle CDG-JFK, yet AF never took delivery of those. CDG-NRT, however, probably benefits from the added range of the -ER version.

What routes will the aircraft be operating on? Maybe they should introduce services to Sydney!

Well, as previously said, no SYD. But, we will see them on CDG-JFK in May and then when enough have joined the fleet daily CDG-NRT will begin along with some more CDG-JFK flights here and there. Still not sure on other routes though.

Looks very nice, and very long aswell. I think they need to make the engines just a little bit bigger, to cope with the extra length………(I wish!):D

AF, like several European carriers, stopped flying to SYD a few years back, dartie. I really don’t see them starting again, anytime soon. They probably codeshare with Korean from CDG to SYD via Seoul.

The tail of the A318 is slightly larger than that of the A319.

andrewn,

same feeling but may be it’s because the fuselage is too long

on the same way for the A318, the tail seems bigger than for the A319. it is right or also a visual effect ?
