Somehow, I think the FAA, CAA et al would have issues with the pilots watching the inflight movie instead of keeping an eye of their instruments. LOL
But the movie might help them stay awake:D

have you noticed the amount of facial hair in the flight deck!!!!
Yep, that really is a rather hairy cockpit! I wonder if the resolution of the screens would be good enough to edit photos on. I’ll have my 787 with Photoshop CS4 Extended please! 😀

I still like the IFE screens in the pointy bit. 🙂
Once you are in the cruise the EICAS is a bit boring. Eaven I would want something more for In Flight Entertainment!;)

I was saying I didn’t like the 3-3-3 layout, as a personal preferance of course I didnt for one minute believe that any airline would be forced to accept the layout.

What do you expect to see? The hanging gardens of babylon? The bridge of the starship enterprise?
It’s a Y cabin with seats. Colours not withstanding it will look much the same as any Y cabin in a photo. From my understanding, the difference will be felt, not seen. (Apart from those huge windows!)
Exactly my short fused young friend..it’s just a bloody Y cabin the same as everything else in the sky..i’m not the one going into raptures here :diablo:

Never mind all that.
Will it be at Legends? :diablo:

DC-8 has bigger.
 So? When is the DC-8 coming into service? On what routes will it be competing with the 787? What’s the internal cabin width? How does it compare on a seat cost basis? How does it compare to the DC-3 and Airbus A340? [/sarcasm]

I did the same thing, had to do a double-take. The fan is still to be fitted, the picture is from the rear looking forward.
Yes, your right it looked all wrong to me.
Google is my friend!!

Is it the angle that the photo was taken or hasn’t it got the fan fitted?
Rgds Cking
Edit: Ive just Googled it and it has got the fan fitted it’s just got a HUGE rear end

Nice cockpit..the passenger cabin looks like your average 767 to me
No 767 squeezes 9 seats abreast.
What about 777, or 330?
They are forcing airlines to buy from a ‘catalogue’ of economy options, i.e. when you get your new aircraft Boeing will supply the economy section
Well, just make sure you fly an airline that uses 2-4-2 then
Can 787 have 2-4-2? Remember how Boeing pushes 3-2-3. Has Boeing made the point of excluding a 2-4-2 option, to ensure it is 3-2-3 or nothing?
Those windows are HUGE

I like the look of it, but will it withstand commercial service? (The cabin that is)

Those windows are HUGE… The electro tinting(it has a fancy name but it escapes me) will be a nice feature. I hate having to put my window shade down and missing the views.

Boeing cannot be held responsible for the interior configuration choice of the airlines 😉 🙂
Actually they can, at least in the first instance. They are forcing airlines to buy from a ‘catalogue’ of economy options, i.e. when you get your new aircraft Boeing will supply the economy section. Airlines can specify their own premium seating though and have that installed by Boeing.
By: Bmused55 - 5th February 2010 at 14:48
Dont like the 3-3-3 layout, at least with 2-4-2 you are never more than 1 seat away from an aisle. Do like the look of the overhead lockers, but the trade off could be the loss of the pax sitting under them, still that could be worth the big windows.
