Maybe this is covered here already (although i didn’t see it)-but flight daily news have a video of the first on-wing engine runs of ZA-001 from earlier today

You can’t, but it looks like the video is zoomed in really rather a lot and the No.1 is partially obscured by a mound of earth, which will block a proportion of the sound. It would be interesting to know exactly how far away the person shooting it was.

I think it said the person was about 2200ft away, not exactly next door 🙂

The smoke will likely be the preservation oil they put in the engines so they don’t corrode whilst not running for a while.
The most impressive thing is that you can’t hear a thing from the engines.
