I have an autographed copy of the 1944 Don Gentile autbiography “One Man Air Force” by Captain Don Gentile as told to Ira Wolfert published by the North American Newspaper Alliance (a long-gone newspaper feature agency). I found it in an obscure used bookshop in Dayton, which is just down the road from Gentile’s hometown.
The book is rare, a few years ago when I was working at Wright-Patterson, I checked the research section of the NMUSAF and they didn’t have a copy. I was, however, able to authenticae the signature by checking some of Gentile’s records there.
Anyone else know of the book or guress to place a value on it?
