Does anyone know if the following pilots from 8./Jg 26 are still alive, and if so how they might be contacted please.
Ofw. Max Martin and Ofw Hans Heitmann
My interest is in Uffz. Heinrich (Heinz) Walter who was shot down on 28th January 1943 by Eddie Musgrave of 137 Squadron RAF.
I’m hoping to find out who flew with Walter that day and any details re the combat that took place.

PS I would be most interested if anyone has any pictures of 8./JG 26 from around this time that they would be willing to share.

Thank you both for your replies. Andre I’ll give the site a try – I wasn’t aware of this one.
Andy I have posted on TOCH and also LEMB. According to DC’s JG26 site they’re pretty busy and have asked not to be contacted so I’ll respect their wishes and wait. Hopefully however my post might be of interest to them and they’ll contact me. Over on LEMB Peter provided me with a couple of options that I’m going to follow up on. If you are interested you can read a transcript of Eddie Musgrave’s combat report.
