80 years, I can remember the 25th anniversary ! those that survived telling their stories and the “at home airshows and Battle of Britain day shows that year.

I think you may find that was Hurricane R4118 from White Waltham to Glousceter , then Glouscter back to Duxford

Somewhere today has had a tribute, I suspect, as a Hurricane flew over Kidlington heading roughly NW, then came back about an hour and a half later. It was accompanied both times by something I wasn’t sure on the ID of – possibly a Yak 52, though it was directly overhead which didn’t help – which was obviously a lot slower as the Hurricane was practically ticking over judging by the engine note!
