802.11

Now that intel is making a push to include 802.11 wireless in the motherboards of their Centrino package, Im curious how many here already use this type of wireless with their laptops or PDAs. I imagine airports are the most common place people are going to encounter this. But some coffee shops are starting to offer this wireless network for their customers also.

There are two versions 802.11 and b and a g version. The g version has only just been ratified but is quicker that the b revision.

A lot of hotels, airpots are now setting up what are called Wi-Fi hotspots.
