On the night of 24th/25th April 1944 a Lancaster of 83 squadron made an emergency landing on 2 engines at Lashenden ALG in Kent. The Lancaster was coded OL-B does anybody have a serial for this aircraft?

Oh Well. At least you’ve got a complete entry for that day.

Ossington,
I have just purchased the file & it confirms the aircraft was ND467.
Many thanks

I’ve just had a hunt around the squares in the March ORB entry (AIR27/688/6). I can only see the last two digits, but I deduce the serial as ND467.

I’ve just looked at the National Archives webportal “Discovery” under ref AIR27/688/8, the Record of Events for Apr 44. I can’t see mention of a land-away, but I’m looking at a degraded image. Maybe worth paying the £3.50? Good Luck.
