83 Squadron Manchester crash 26 March 1942

Can anyone give me further details of a 83 Squadron Manchester crash on 26.03.42 near the Isle of Sheppey? Who the crew were and the circumstances of the crash? I understand the plane may have hit a barrage balloon cable returning in difficulties from a raid on Germany. A relative, W/O Peter Thompson RAF was killed in the crash and is buried in Leysdown cemetery on Sheppey.

While returning to base, and shortly after crossing the Kent coast near Sheerness, the Manchester flew into a barrage balloon cable. Out of control, the bomber crashed 0210 at Warden Point on the Isle of Sheppey.
