87 sq Huricane MKIIc info wanted

Hello dear forum members,

I need some info about a Hawker Huricane MK IIC which flew with 87 sq during WW2. The aircraft had this code LK-? (so a questionmark instead of the more usual letter such as LK-A). I think it had RAFserial HL864. Any info about this aircraft (service life, pilots who flew it, …) is welcome. A picture is also welcome, especialy from the bottom of the plane.

I hope someone can help.

Thanks

J.V.

That was the thing I wanted. Thanks Starfire. You don’t need to raise that model from storage. This selection wil do the job. Thanks a lot! 😀

PS: My Revell-kit ist still in storage … among about 150 other ones …

Revell = Hasegawa. My LK-? is labelled Revell. 🙂

Oops, I didn’t know these where the same. 😮

Hey starfire,

Could you post a pic of the painting instructions from this kit and from the bottom of the wings of your model. That would be great! Did you paint a grey-green sheme?

Thanks,

J.V.

That is the one guys! 🙂

Did this plane have any markings at the bottom of it’s wings?
This colourslide shows a grey-green sheme, But the model in the link from Daz (and some things I got here with me) shows a more blue-green sheme. Which one is correct? I think the grey-green is correct. Can anyone confirm this.

Thanks,
J.V.

two versions of the same photo. First from Richard Ward’s “Hawker Hurricane in Royal Air Force and Foreign Service”. Second and third from Squadron Signal’s “Hurricane in Action. Captions do the talking 🙂
