1230hrs: Isle of Sheppy. Hurricane P3201. 46 Squadron Stapleford
Sub/Lt J.C.Carpenter killed. (Shot down by E/A. Pilot baled out but killed. Aircraft crashed at Maidstone)

On the ground:
RAF. 0 killed, 3 injured.
Civilian. 292 killed, 1285 injured (approx)
