9 Days left till our Flight in the Lancaster

Well the countdown begins.. 😀

Only nine days left till Dad and I go airborne in CWH’s Lancaster. I know Dad is really looking forward to it as he remembers them taking off from Goosepool and forming up before visiting germany.

I received a call this morning that the DC3 is sick and they are cancelling the rest of the season for her. We were looking forward to taking our other flight on her but we have an option of going on a Beech 18 instead!

Well I think that eventually engine spares are going to be very hard to come by and she will eventually end up a non flyer this is just my own opinion.

Hi Peter… you say FM213 won’t be flying for much longer… that’s a real shame! How many hours does she have left? Many congratulations on your impending flight though!

Cheers,
Richard

For takeoff and landing you have to remain seated just like an airliner but during flight I believe you can go in the midupper turret and up front for pics etc.. for 750GBP anyone can do it!

Very nice, i sure am jealous of you! Are they letting you go in one of the turrets by any chance, or the bombers position? That sure would be fun, taking off in a Lanc whilst sat in a turret or bombers position!
