Well just when you think you’ve seen it all…you guys know my two main interest on this fine forum …BlueNose P-51’s from the 352nd Fighter Group and Nose Art on A-2’s…..I nearly hit the roof when I saw this rather odd A-2 for sale……just to much !!!! Plus , I admire and respect the story of the real men in The Great Escape, but this over commericalization of the character named “Hiltz’s played Steve McQueen has never set well with me. Many younger readers of history think this character was actually part of the real Great Escape. Just look at all the McQueen stuff for sale on ebay !!!!!!!

Of course it has to do with `Historic` Aviation. He is wearing a WW11 A2 Jacket :diablo:

Wonder who else was available in the Great Escape range? Ives the mole, Hendley the scrounger, Blythe the forger, or even Big X Bartlett? With optional extra – real Stalag Luft dirt!
Some how I doubt it. – Nermal

Great toy, just like a £10 Action Man.
