Here is a story from Spartanburg, South Carolina USA, where the wreck site of a A-20 has been unearthed and research is on going to find out more and who the three men were that died in the crash. During World War II there were several Army Air Bases here the area. The former Donaldson Army Air Base had B-25’s based there and in 1984 I was able to cover a story for my television station , the recovery of a B-25 Mitchell from a Lake in South Carolina. The B-25 was fully intact after the pilot made a landing on the lake and the plane sank. Today its on display in Columbia, South Carolina. Good to see a memorial will be built to honor the men lost in the crash!
