A bigger Spitfire nut….??

There is a floatplane in there.. Shall we put it in a garden pond and then try to ‘discover it?’

I have a large box of unmade models of spits in the loft. The intention has always been to build a 1:72 model of all the current airworthy Spits. I built 2 before I was married and fifteen years later I still have 2. By the time I retire I will have all the necessary kits. Time will tell if I can still build them.

I’ve not even looked in the big box since our last house move. Never mind, as long as all the people that own and fly their Spits, keep whizing them around the sky, I will have plenty of choice at which colours and markings to apply. 😀

I had about sixteen models of airworthy Spits that I’d done – AR213*, P7350*, AB910, AR501, BM597*, EP120*, MH434*, ML407, ML417*, TE566, TB863, TD248 (these are the ones I remember – *= still got them!). Most of them were pretty rough (my handpainting isn’t the best) though, and certainly wouldn’t be p*ssed on by this lot! 😀

This is beautifull. What a collection of spitfire models. It shure made me jealous.

Amazing collection and well photographed too. I don’t think they will end up in a box on top of a wardrobe. 🙂
