I had intended going to the Brooklands Museum earlier in the year but got a bit side tracked at the time. Weather was variable, blue sky when I left but the closer to London I got the cloudier and darker it got. Other side of London and back to sun and blue sky but walked out of the station at Weybridge straight into a cold fog. Fortunately that burnt away not long after I arrived. Only did the aeroplanes in this visit and unfortunately the Stratosphere Chamber and Balloon Hanger were closed and no notice as to why. The Lancaster fuselage is apparently a TV prop.

Yes the nose section is Jeremy Halls and possibly the other Lanc section too.part of the stuff that was left over from that Telly Drama with Edward Woodward in it `Night Flight`?, Night Passage`? whatever.

Brooklands Lancs
Does anyone know if those two Lanc sections – presumably both mock ups – are still there?

I havent been to Brooklands for years. We deliverd some porta cabins for use as class rooms. What a nice suprise when we got there, the driver just said we were going to Weybridge.
Is the Lancaster cockpit the replica that was on ebay ?
Is the film mock up the one used by the BBC for some thing like `Night Flight`. I always asumed this is what they had at Thorpe Camp, Lincs.
