was watching the very old (1940s) movie “AIR FORCE” the other day. a patriotic American film against the japs during ww2. anyway during one of the battle scenes where a jap carrier gets bombed the carriers bridge/island explodes and the next scene is a close up of some of the crew getting covered in bits of ship and what looks realy like a load of house bricks??. no wonder they lost the war if thats how they made their ships!!!!!!!!!!

The aircraft we where told where made of paper and the pilots all had bad eye site, so my my dad heard! But my grandad told him that they had been told’ That sort of thing in the Great War (WW1) about the German’s. He had a great respect for the Germans after 1917 when he was wounded.
