A Cautionary Tale (LHR 27/5/07)

This is what happens when you sit under the 09L approach at Heathrow, trying to take pictures through an open car window in the pouring rain…..:(

This is about as good as it got until much later in the day, by which time I was too tired to even think straight, let alone take pictures:

Oh well……. 😮

The trip was arranged weeks ago and from a purely spotting point of view it was a very successful day indeed, Peter. 🙂

Aah I know what you mean. I go spotting in Zurich next weekend, and the weather forecast is not that good. But at least London has the Virgin Megastore in which one can waste an hour or more. Nice museums etc…. got no clue what to do in Zurich if weather is indeed too bad to go spotting. At least I am going with a group so it will be fun regardless.

I suspect you benefitted somewhat from you lens’ optical stabilisation!

Paul

Just a bit!

The BMA A319 was captured at 1/160, f5.6, ISO250, for instance.

Was it grey, Lance? :diablo:

A nice selection, despite the rather typical Casey weather! I suspect you benefitted somewhat from you lens’ optical stabilisation!

Maybe next time check the met office before going?

09’s and crap weather! Still lagging it down today down here! Bloody typical for a bank holiday.

Considering the weather they did not come out too bad.

Maybe next time check the met office before going?

I agree with Tom, the BA 747 is a great shot – very dramatic! Shame about the weather 😡
