I have been after some good photographs of “Molly” for a while now and I finally caught her in the sunshine on Friday at Scone
Sher was first registered in 1959 and took up the mark G-APFV then re-registered as G-MOLY before reverting to her old registration and a period 1960s colour scheme. She still retails Molly written under the cockpit window.
…. and a period mono to finish it off.

Wow, didn’t know either was an airfield, but googling tells me that is so, thanks Sir Wallace!:)

I believe it is Whiterashes. Insch may be too small for it.

I saw her a few ago parked up at Vannes. Where’s she based now?
The owner lives at INSCH, so Aberdeen might be a guess?

Nice to see old GA types being restored, especially when they’re done in their original schemes.
I was at an event last year and was surprised at the number of 50s-60s Cessnas that had been restored in original colors.
There was even an Aero Commander seeingly untouched by time…and especially common later mods. Twins are meant for serious transportation (as opposed to strictly pleasure flying) a lot of owners add mods as a way to increase efficency without buying a new aircraft.
I’d like to see more restored, but the high restoration/operating costs of twins
mean many are just sitting around. At our local airport there is a derelict Apache and a Cessna 310B…both with peeling paint, semi-flat tires.

Old they may be be still a good looking aircraft. Just a pity they were somewhat lacking in horses.
