A couple from Manchester tonight (18/08/2012)

Trying out my New Nikon D7000 and Nikon 18-200mm zoom.

Not sure I’m massively impressed so far with either the camera or the lens for the price I paid for them.

Camera overexposed a few of the shots by a big margin and the lens I am not sure is worth £600 !!! (may return it). Possibly teething problems with it being a new camera.
I compensated for the overexposure and as a result some of them were underexposed.

Anyway here are a couple from tonight…

I returned the lens as it overlaps too much with my 70-300mm lens and it wasn’t quite as good quality at the 105-200mm range. My 70-300mm is an FX lens so is effectively 105-450mm. I have the Nikon 16-85mm DX lens now.

Those are very good shots. I find that the 18-200 is a very useful lens for airshow and museum work but with such a zoom range it is something of a compromise and not the sharpest at the upper end of its range.
