Didn’t look that bad really, but I DO wish they’d have shown the instrument panel and pilot in seat being glued BEFORE the fuselage was assembled. And where were the rubber bands and giant tube of glue?
That was not a serious criticism, BTW.

Their 1/24th Mosquito model is due out for Xmas, 674 parts and a £130 price tag. Already being hailed as the best plane kit ever.

Slightly off thread but, long ago, when Airfix only produced the AC-47 Gunship kit and I was desperate to make a Silver City Dakota, I wrote off to the company complaining that I had purchased the kit in its original form but the painting instructions and the decals were missing from it. Bless their little cotton socks, back in the post came the material that I required and the Skyways Dakota, a little the worse for wear nearly forty years on, still sits on the top of my office bookcase. But every time I look at it I am reminded how b****y awful my painting skills were at that time – although my wife, when passing judgement on my repainting of the rooms in our annexe, has expressed the opinion that nothing has changed with the passage of time!

Ah yes, the good ole saucer. I remember not being able to find a decal in the water, and hours after tipping the water away there it was, stuck fast to the pattern of the saucer… happy days.
i prefer superscale decals my self.
my 8 yo son finally decalled his 1:72 airfix hurricane,they all tore,but good practice i suppose.
im looking at the 1:24 spit mk1…hmmm

You can tell it’s not a real Airfix. There’s no glue smudges on the canopy.

It must have been in a really big plastic bag. And what did they do with all the sprue? I’d never have got those decals into one of my mum’s teacup saucers, either.
