How was the radio triggered on a wartime Mustang? I’m presuming there was some sort of switch the pilot could activate?
Also, how did the pilot release the canopy in the event of being shot down/crashing??
Such things are not too clear to me! 😀

Very nice airfield, a little short for the B24 now. Has a great atmosphere and is well supported by local pilots, there is very often something of interest going on there. Plus excellent food, what more do you need.
