How many of that crowd are still there?

Four on a regular basis, a few on a visiting basis. We should do a 2011 version.

That brings back some memories – I even remember taking those shots. 1988 I think.

ZRX61 – we were all a lot younger, thinner and had more hair in those days!

I have more hair now 🙂

Picture resolution

Just thought I would try to explain picture sizing/resolution/dpi/pixels for those who post pictures. Every computer has a size set for the monitor if you go to Control Panel/Display/Settings there the pixel resolution of your monitor is listed, mine is 1024 x 786 pixels which is pretty much the standard. This is the area which any images that you post sit on. When posting images instead of using millimetres as a measurement try changing it to pixels. The dpi of your images should be set either at 72dpi (dots per inch) or 96dpi any larger and the image will take too long to load for people with slower internet speeds.

So for a computer set to 1024 x 786 pixels the picture you post should not be any larger than 800 pixels this is to allow for the margins either side of the web page.

As a web designer it is always best to save images to the settings that most visitors have.

One last thing when scanning images save as RGB jpeg otherwise they wont display on the internet.

I don’t mean to teach anyone to suck eggs and hope no-one is offended

The chap stood by Grumpy walked in the hangar one day with his family, pointed to the side of the aircraft & delivered a minor bollocking for not having one of the mission symbols painted black for the one night mission they flew. He was the Radio Op.
I also posted that pic on JS’s facebook page & he asked if I remembered his name, I don’t.. does anyone else know?

Wasn’t the Mustang and Coke Can during restoration after a wheels up landing (was hung on for fun while in the hangar)?

I also have a pic of the pile of bent blades. I have a couple of pics of me in the rad hole wielding a bucking bar while Danny deafened me with the rivet gun.

Which begs the question ~ which one were you in when you took the picture ?

I think it was Mother & Country, I know the one where I’m wearing the orange bailer twine *safety harness* was taken in M&C. In that pic the woman nearest the camera is the pilots missus I think. You can tell it’s not Tallichets plane as it’s not knee deep in MacDonalds wrappers & KFC boxes etc….
Nice job of the photo tweek 🙂

Now I’ve finally figured out how to use my scanner I’m going to get hold of the PA908 album & scan the pics from that.

That was probably when she had a wheels up ding at Stapleford Tawney.

ok, I went back & changed all the pics to attachments so you don’t need a bigscreen TV to view them.
