I just received an information package from KNAPO in Russia regarding my interest in the Su-80 project.
Though they took the liberty of adding some stuff about the Be-103 amphibian, it is a well presented package!
Su-80 info included:
1x Fact sheet
1x techs and specs booklet
Be-103 info included:
2x fact sheets
1x techs and specs booklet
But the biggest suprise was the CD-Rom that they threw in, sure it’s a copy of the video but it is well presented and covers nearly all the information I need. The only thing missing was the crutial data I need regarding landing and take off distances!
The plane is a 30 seat Regional airliner, with the ability to use unprepared airstrips! It uses GE CT7-9B engines and has Hamilton 4 blade props!
The biggest suprise is the fuel types it is able to use
Jet A
Jet A1
Jet B (ASTM D1655)
JP-4 (MIL-T-5624)
JP-5
JP-8 (MIL-T-83133)
RT (GOST 16565)
TS-1 (GOST 10227)
Most of which is readily available here in Australia. The avionics are very modern and are compatible with western standards (which is nice to know), and there are 5 colour LCD’s in the cockpit with all the flight info on them, thwey look to be about 5″x7″, and the controls are like bicycle handelbars, but it is an awesome presentation.
The cabin has 30 light weight seats and a toilet at the front, I can’t see meal facilities but I’m sure they are there. In all, I’d say that KNAPO are on a winner here and the days of both Embraer and Shorts as leaders in this feild are numbered!
They won me!

I thought I might recommend http://www.flug-revue.rotor.com/FRTypen/FRSu-80.htm for information about the aircraft. As far as I know, it gives all the information about the runway specifications required. Hope it’s of some use.

RE: A credit to KNAAPO
Glenn, I only waited three weeks for it to come by surface mail! And that was a week after the original email was accepted and acknowledged, so all up about four weeks! Still, better than the four weeks I waited for info on the PAC 750XT from New Zealand!

Can’t deny the Russians are keen marketing entities! How long did you have to wait for it Ja?
