Hi All,
Having seen the incredible weather forecast for yesterday I decided to get up to the local nice and early for an all day photography sesh. I arrived at 06:50 and to my great disappointment, found the conditions to be not quite what I expected!
I think I was at F1.8 or F2.2 for this shot, and even that didn’t really let enough light in!

The conditions for the next 6 or so hours were, shall we say, not ideal for photography!

This shot isn’t edited at all, just re-sized to show how hazy it was!

The Sun was trying tp fight its way through the cloud!

Finally, at around 1 o’clock (which ironically was round about when Danny Jones joined me so maybe it was his influence), something strange happened. My shutter speed started to increase. It started getting warm, and I started seeing aircraft in sunlight! After hours of waiting, drinking much tea and cursing the fact it seemed I’d wasted yet another day of my time and produced nothing, the weather transformed into a glorious afternoon. As the average hibernating field vole has seen more sunlight than me in recent months, this made a more than welcome change!

Fantastic shots there Paul,Like the last two and the Jet2 757 nose shot is brilliant. Just wondering do KLC F70/100 stop overnight?

Absolutely stunning mate, and nice to see you got a couple of aircraft I was ‘involved’ with. ;).
I personally love the shot of G-CELB, and have to agree, LSAH looks fantastic!

Hi, I don’t normally comment on photos, but that’s a lovely shot into the Jet2 office on that third last in the second post! 😀

The star of the day for me was JET2’s beautiful new 757, G-LSAH. I usually hate parts of the landing gear missing on photos, but because she’s special I’ve included this first one. 🙂

A quick change of runway meant a quick change of location for Danny and myself, and we headed round to the Cemetary to catch the last hour and a half of daylight.

Finally, a shot just to show how gorgeous the evening light was as we were walking back to the terminal.

Thanks for the company, Danny, and thanks for the lifts, Steve!
And thanks for looking to those who have! 🙂
Paul
