I thought this video was a different tribute to Guy Gibson. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix1d1eiTSOc

For some reason I was thinking this was 1/48 scale, must have been the motors..
How it was built clicky

Are we confusing scales here. The 1/48 scale Lanc by Tamiya has motors but I wasn’t aware the 1/72nd scale one did?

The Grand Slam version of the Tamiya Lanc has electric motors to spin the props.

Are the engines not included in the tamiya kit?

Does anyone know the model maker?
I would be interested to know what motors were used for the engines (most likely pager vibration motors) or how they were operated. Must be some kind of pot controlling the speed?
Thanks.

Thanks for posting Peter. Nice working model and I wonder how long it took to make.
Question:- Did the RAF use the type of bomb trolley to arm British bombers that had bombs laying across the trolley instead of lengthways as shown in the video?
I don’t think I have ever seen a picture or film of such trolley’s being used for transporting bombs to bombers.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks.

Very impressive, I like the way the engines started and stopped, shame about the ‘bleeps’ at the end!
