A FANatic KLM spotter!

Hmm. Is it any wonder I only tell people I’m a spotter on a need to know basis, 😮

Well, we all know now…….:p

How many of us have been there, bored wife/girlfriend in car….’are we going yet?’

Well I’ve been one (a spotter!) for over 40 years, and I’ve never felt the need for ladders or badges.

Same for me, and you can include radios, binocs and telescope to the list. And the last few years not even a notebook. Why write everything down when you camera can do it for you! I’ve had it several time that a bunch of English spotters could not read something of with their binos and that I could read it of from my LCD display!

Mind you, while I don’t have binos or telescopes, my most used lense is a Canon 100-400L so that is the next best thing.

A small ladder (two steps) can be usefull for some airport fences. But never the huge 6 or 7 step ladders some people drag along. Let along half a building’ worth of scaffolding some of the more determined Germans seem to drag along.

Spotter or not, who would want that lot on your holiday!
…and they need to buy the correct Lens hood for the camera.

Good effort 🙂 I always felt an urge to go to the MAN mound with a banner reading “Top Jet – the indisputable leader of the gang!” but somehow never did…
