Maybe not true ‘Classics’ to Boeing but they are to me…
Braathens 737 at Faro
SABENA 737 at Heathrow
Busy Bee 737 at Palma
British Airways 737 at Heathrow – this was a single example of a test with a silver top

Initial Model 737s
Superb, civilspotter!….these days all the -200s look like -100s to me especially if they don’t have a traditional stripe down the side

I always thought that the airliner collection at Duxford needed a 737-200 series. Preferrably a Britannia one in the first set of colours in Trident Man’s post.
When I was working at Duxford on the restoration of the Monarch Britannia during the late 70s, it was rumoured that the same carrier had offered a Boeing 720B, but this was turned down, because, unlike the military collection, it was only British made airliners that would be considered. I think I’m right in this, but if there are any members/ex members of the DAS here with us, perhaps they could confirm wether or not this was actually the case.
Vee One, ref the Maersk, yes, perhaps white wings would have been nice, although IMO, I don’t think you could improve much on that lovely livery.

Superb photos – especially love the Sabena ones and the BA Landor – that was the best BA livery in my opinion.

Nice Pics, that brings back memories
That wasn’t taken September 1990 by chance same time as the Air Madagascar B732 was it?

British Airways 737-200 – BA’s first 737s were on lease from Transavia in these markings
Indeed they were leased by BA to evaluate the type for the Trident 1C and 2E replacement….:D

Nice selection of photos. We didn’t see too many 737s at Kai Tak but I’ve got a few which I’ll post when I can sort them.

A handful of classic pigs at Athens (well, three fifths of a handful).

I really like that Maersk livery on the -200.
Looks like the domestic terminal at Kastrup. Is that right ?
By: VeeOne - 2nd June 2011 at 14:21
Yes, it is really lovely. I wonder if it would be improved with white wings? Like Court Line.
