Looks like BA are not in a hurry to replace their world tail images on their training fleet and are concentrating on repainting the tails of their airliners first. Nice to see these shots for a change.

Great photos! I saw a Tartan ERJ145 at BHX on 30th March, and a Tartan Dash 8 in MAN on 8th June, as well as a Chelsea Rose Dash 8 in MAN.

Actually they are used as escape planes for 747’s, a bit like lifeboats are used on ships. They keep them in the hold just in case. 😀

Some Beautiful shots Andy. Ive wanted to visit Wycombe Air Park for awhile now, seeing as its not really all that far from LHR (30-45mins or so away). Other than going to the airports, i do like to get around to some of the smaller airfields – Shoreham and Fairoaks to name a few.

But with Wycome you get the added bonus of seeing all those world tails. 😎

Hmmm… If we did Nottingham East Midlands to Edinburgh in the PA-28, the hamburger would cost quite a bit more than £100!!! 🙁

These were all taken today at Wycombe Air Park, otherwise known as Booker, which is near High Wycombe… We took PA-28 Warrior G-CDON down there from Nottingham East Midlands so we could have lunch – the proverbial £100 hamburger! 😀

Its a BA contingency plan in case Ryanair or Easyjet gain even more market share – if this happens, the PA-28s can be quickly deployed on the UK domestic shuttle routes without them loosing brand recognition!!!
