Joe – You post great photos, but you shouldnt keep creating trouble for yourself. All GLAsgow was on about was Globespan expansion at GLA, the same as me talking about Jet2 at LBA. Whats wrong with that?

I won’t bore you with EDI/GLA politics Tom… 😮

Channel Express as a whole though ? Anyone know what it’s relationship with Islandsflug is and what the respective business sharings they have invested in each other’s operations are… Galdri ???

Two totally different companies, and have no relationship what so ever in terms of ownership or management. Islandsflug is an ACMI lease specialist airline and in the past have provided services that Channel seems to like as they keep comming back when their own fleet is a bit short for the contracts signed. At the moment Islandsflug has three aircraft flying for Channel, on Globespan and Royal Mail contracts

Thanks Galdri.

Perhaps folk don’t want to get involved in the idiot’s baiting?

One now imagines it’s OK to ‘bait’ but not retaliate.?

A victory for GLAsgow and a snub for those who find his contributions provocative.?

What exactly was baiting about that post by GLAsgow ? Oh yes… it was by GLAsgow and that’s bait enough in your eyes isn’t it. Keep digging that hole.

Er…. why Joe ? it hasn’t degenerated into a “V” argument. And I’ll delete it as soon as it does rest assured.

Some interesting ones there, your Netjets Citation positioned in from Exeter although not sure where it was actualy taking passengers too. They seem to be getting bigger and bigger every day. “After the company aircraft line up and wait 24” is something you would hear a lot at most airports, but at Farnborough, where it is 100% bizjets it used to be a rareity, no longer thanks to the Skyshares 😀

Well, Jet2.com now have 8 based a/c at LBA (G-CELE arriving recently) and all these aircraft (With the exception of one – Jet2 always keep one spare), are utilised for the most of every day. G-CELZ hasnt actually operated a Jet2 flight yet, so I dont really think that is the case.

Have you seen Channex Flyglobespan aircraft at LBA Tom.?

The Jet2 737’s seem to be becoming a more common occurence in Scotland, albeit operating as Fly Globespan flights. The obvious question is are there too many spare Jet2 flights and not enough Fly Globespan flights?

Often wondered how Jet2 can spare the aircraft..perhaps the arrangement is reciprocal and Channex aircraft are
subbing for them.? Anyone.?

FlyGlobespan are owned by Globespan and only had a/c leased from Channel Express. FlyGlobespan will go it on there own with out Channel Express (Dont know when) but they will be getting some 738s with 6 or 8? A/C based at GLA next year.

Very nice, Joe 🙂

I missed a BY departing from B1, a rare event for an EDI
charter flight….

Bloody fence….

The new taxiway is looking good, it should be operational in
a few weeks one would imagine. 😀

Really great photos.

Especially like the one of G-CELZ (Surprise Surprise!), and the FCA 757 which I thought for a minute might be the one I flew on but its OOOB not OOOG.

Any more? 😀

I’m going out tomorrow to grab a pic of Sandy’s CO filght.
hopefully there will be others of interest. 😎
