The intention was to photograph the Singapore 777 and the Emirates 380. Managed to get the Singapore but the weather suddenly changed for the worse. Bad planning by not taking waterproofs so the 380 will have to wait for another day.
Here is a selection of a few that were seen in a couple of hours. Hope you like. C & C’s welcome
Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys
Cloudwarrior.
Cannot argue with you at all regarding the weather. Usually have my waterproofs in the car with me. On this occasion a good mate offered to be the chauffeur, so with an early start all I could think about was taking food and camera. Thanks for letting me know a while ago about the spot for photographing the 380. We did go there but found that the dirt track is now badly churned up. With the rain as well, it was very muddy to get the car down, plus it was very busy with lorries and caterpillar vehicles. At least I know where it is now for the future. Thanks once again and much appreciated.

Thanks for your comment. Shooting settings varied ISO 160 and 200, AV and TV. All using Auto White balance and evaluative metering. All in raw format.
Hope this answers your query.
Cheers

Some nice contrail captures.
Maikel, you are correct in the 2 Emirates movements a day. The 380 does the midday flight and the evening flight is a 777. There is a 3rd flight starting this year, the month escapes me, but it will be a morning flight using 330s. The Qatar and Etihad do a daily flight, but the times differs depending on the day. The following site should be of use to you.

Nice effects, good effort.
I’m going to visit Manchester in the beginning of May with 2 friends we are staying in the spotters hotel. Is it correct that Emirates had 2 flights a day with one operated by the A380. Also Etihad and Qatar with one daily connection?
