Here are a few pics from a very wet Saturday – not ideal conditions for photos but some very nice sights and sounds nonetheless. It was pretty cool to see so many invasion stripes about the place. Made a nice change.

This was the scariest moment of the day, at the very end on Sat
The three DC-3’s performed a formation landing, one on the hard and two on the grass. L4 , nearest the fence found itself running out of room, and hard braking on the wet grass was ineffective. In this photo, it is still moving quite fast, and as it hit the tarmac it finally got some traction and with a screech of rubber and a lurch to the left, just managed not to take out the fence !
I bet it went a bit quiet in the cockpit for a bit !
