Hi All,
Last week myself and fellow forum member Tom Gautier had a wander to Bremen for a bit of shooting and… Err… Drinking! Here are a few from the viewing deck at the airport.
All taken with a Canon 30D and EF 70-200L f.4 lens, except the terminal shot, taken with a Canon 350D + Sigma 10-20.

Mr Spalding (The WAC) commented on one of his photos from Bremen on JP that he was quite surprised at the terminal, and I have to agree. Travel agents, banks, various shops and restaurants make it feel more like a shopping centre than an airport, but it’s very pleasant nonetheless.

And finally, the star catch of the day! Tom and I were just on the observation deck when this monster gently strolled around the corner. It was the first time I’ve ever seen a Beluga on the ground like this and I have to say, she is one hell of an ugly aircraft but there’s still something strangely beautiful about her. Maybe because she’s still an A300 at heart!

Thanks for a great few days, Goat. Roll on Madeira!!
And thankyou for looking. 🙂

Ah Bremen, I remember it well! Do they still have the crew bus shop on the airfield bringing out crates of Becks at very silly prices?!
I seem to recall flight crews radioing ahead with the orders after we had worked out roughly how many crates we could put on board with our expected load. Crew bus drivers were never happy back at base as they had to bring out two buses to collect us and our load.
The Beluga we parked next to one night. Typical I didn’t have my camera with me on that occasion. Safe to say I did my usual. Hi Vis on, wander over, excuse me mister, can I look at your aeroplane? Got to climb up into it (like going up in to a loft) and see a large pair of wings in the hold. Good to see something different.:)

Well I wasn’t expecting to see a little Lufty knocking around. Nice pics:)

I like the shot of the Lufthasna Training Jet. It looks more like something the top people would get around in in germany.

Nice selection Paul, the little Lufthansa PA-42 is unusual. I agree with you on the Beluga, strangely attractive!
