Quick question for the regulars, can someone tell me where the two night shots were taken from and how do you access the location.

Mucho Ta in advance.

Raymy

Looks like Monkton to me…? Directly opposite the airfield on the north side, beside the former British Aerospace factory gates. I think there’s another spot similar, further west towards the main A77 amongst the houses by the fence. Both would require shooting through or over the fence wire. Access on foot or vehicle via the village of Monkton, turn right at the lights adjacent to Wheatsheaf pub and drive/walk to the perimeter fence.

Of course, I could be wrong about that.:D

Nice shots there DJ17 😎 Like the Cargolux night time shots do you know what the Short Tucano T1 was in for? And looks like the Coastguard have its last set of Sikorsky S-92 delivered

David: Not a complaint… but FYI if you wish to contact a member off list you can PM them by clicking on their name and selecting “send a private message”

Hi Tartan Pics,

Thanks for that tip. I wasn’t sure how to send a PM, and didn’t see the pop-up menu when I clicked on DJ17’s name. Mind you, it was late at night here in Australia when I tried…

Regards,
David

Hi DJ17,

Couldn’t find any contact details for you, so have to post this request as a reply.

Hans Marter at Shetland News Agency would like permission to use your last photo (of the An-124 with the two S-92s) on their website. Might be a chance to get yourself some $$$$!?

Can you please contact him using these details:

Nice shots as usual, DJ. Did you (or anyone else) manage to catch the KLM 777 crew training on Sunday? I’ve been carless for the last few days 🙁
Cheers
