If you can go then it is worth it – this was my 5th visit and if somebody offered me an air ticket it would be my number 1 destination every time. CLK is a fantastic airport, excellent transport links especially the airport express. You can check in baggage at either the Kowloon or Hong Kong Island stations, get boarding passes etc and then you can do what you want without having a suitcase in tow.

BMI-star – did you meet up with any of the local enthusiasts ?

BMI-Star – glad you liked the pic – wx was very hazy which did not help.

Kevinwm – the aircraft on approach were shot from the HAECO maintenance area which is not a bad place for a morning when using 07’s. To get here take the MTR to Tung Chung then bus S52 (make sure it says aircraft maintenance on the front) These run approx every 20mins and cost 4 HK$ so either have pleanty of change (exact money only accepted) or get an octopus card which should be valid on bus & MTR.
Pics taken with Canon 20D + 100-400 lens. All others taken with 17-85 lens.

Aircraft heading right to left taken from terminal end on the same day. Take S52 back to Tung Chung then S1 to airport (3.5HK$)

First pic is from inside departures whilst waiting for return flight.

DC3 is at Cathay City (reg VR-BDA but is actually RP-C1101 i think)

Aircraft engines are from seat 3C on D-AIGZ LH340 (same plane on return as well)!

Night shot from Victoria Peak – stunning views.
