A few Southend DISPLAY pictures

Hi there guys, I’m terrribly new around here so please treat me gently . . . 😮

Just thought I’d post a few pictures from the seafront at Southend on Monday . . .

First time at Airshow photography for about 15 years (now with a Canon 300D) so I can’t compete with most of the photos on here – but here are a few of my humble efforts that might be of interest . . . .

Not content with the considerable amount of cloud around the RAF F3 makes a couple more of it’s own. . . .

and although not technically historic they are in “Lancaster” formation . . . .

as I say . . . I’m learning. . . . hope they’re not TOO horrendous . . . 😮

and I look forward to participating more in the forum . . .

nice shots Charlie Bravo 🙂

I’ve got that lens too – it’s not super – but it does a good job for the money!

A couple of mine from a lousy-skied Sunday (if you don’t mind me adding some – it’ll keep the ‘too many pic threads’ types quiet) 😉

What lens were you using?

Good question . . .

a Canon EF 75-300mm USM zoom lens (2nd hand)

oh, and here’s one more vaguely viewable picture, again not historic as such, BUT IT IS A MERLIN!!! 😀 (I shall get sacked for jokes like that!)

Welcome aboard CB.
I’m no expert but everything is ‘in the middle’ which is a good place to start. 🙂
There are plenty of digital wizards on here who know doubt will advise you with their vast knowledge in due course.

Welcome to the Forum

Thanks for posting your pics. Always good to have a fellow 300D waver about.

The moderators might prefer the thread title to give event and date along with name and the fact that it contains photos.

eg Southend Display pics Sunday 29th May 2005.

It makes them feel all warm and wanted when we do as they ask. 😀

I’ll get my coat.
