There were more than purely civilian items at the Today’s Pilot fly-in this weekend, up in Tollerton, Nottingham. I figured you might like to take a peek at some 😉
Aeronca Champion:
Beech 18:
T6 Texan:
Rearwin Skyranger:
Waco:
Military Ercoupe:
There’s one more roll of film to come back from the photo shop and another yet to be scanned, so watch this space…

OK, it’s been a few more days than I anticipated but I finally have all the pictures online 🙂
The full list exists on my website (click here) – in the meantime, here’s a couple of tasty treats:

More please; some really interesting aircraft there (didn’t know about a cabin WACO and that Rearwin in GB) 🙂

Futurshox,
I’ll echo Arm Wavers comments – I’d like to see more photos when you have them ready. I was too busy on the day to see everything that came in. The latest info from Tollerton is that we had 247 arrivals!
Thanks to everyone who supported the event, we’ll publish the list of ‘award’ winners over on the General Aviation forum next week.

Pointless fact(?): The Rearwin still has her original engine fitted that she was built with.

Have the other pictures come back yet??

Ah, found out myself it was owned by this Peter Meyreck! 😀 Well, I’ll will write Sywell as its base for now. Maybe someone else can confirm that thought for you yak11 fan. 🙂
Thanks,

It’s owned by Peter Meyrick, I think it had been at Sywell, but can’t be 100% sure

Thanks for that comfermation Yak11 fan. In the Flypast of may 2004 it is reported to be owned by Peter Meyrick, but at a unconfirmed location. (See the warbirds directory in this issue) Does someone know from which airfield it operates?

That Harvard is the ex Martin Sargeant aircraft (G-BGOR). Lovely to see it out and about again, always did look nice.

You figured it right futurshox. You had some lovely planes over there. Nice to see that Waco. Isn’t that T6 actualy a Harvard MKIII (G-BGOR)? Wasn’t it owned at one time by Martin Sargeant? I like this plane and its paintsheme. Does someone know where it is based now?

Nice.
Most interesting thing I saw at Tollerton, when I lived there, was the pillbox. Wall to wall spamcans normally.
