hey all
I met up with Sam yesterday at Heathrow to take advantage of the nice weather. Wind was easterly so the 09 runways were in use.
Interestingly, a few times through the day, we saw landings on 09R, which I thought was only to be used for departures?
It was slightly hazy through the day which makes editing slightly harder, but I still managed to take nearly 1000 photos.
Anyway, here are the best shots, the first few are taken from near Hatton Cross, and then it was onto 09L arrivals.

More will be added through the next two days as and when I can edit them. 😀
thanks

My bad. 😮
I got the date wrong on the thread title. 😮
Contrary to what it says, I went on the 14th April. 😮 😮 :p  Even worse, it took me a week to realise the mistake. Obviously not taking enough fish oil tablets.
Mark, by my calculations then, we werent on the field on the same day.

Superb as usual, Adam! Love the black and white T7. Very nice!
This touring outside the UK business isn’t all that bad, but I really do just want to have a day in the sun at an airport!

Hey Mark
I sat right at the far end of the line of people on the field.
I cant remember seeing bloodhounds but I do remember seeing what I think was an Alsation running after a stick a couple of times, lol. I was the guy, dont know if you saw, that kept venturing out and exploring the field; went over to the landing light pylons a couple of times.
At one point there were 24 people on the field (must have been bored when I counted), and I did wonder if there were any key forumites there. :p

Thanks for the comments guys!
Adam,
Some great images, I love the b&w shot, the Jordanian 343 and the 757 overhead shots are superb….well done. Are you shooting in raw or jpeg? All the best
Si
Si, cheers for the comments; I would like to shoot RAW, but I dont have the right software to handle them, and each RAW file is 21mb on the E-400, which would mean I could only take around 150 shots using 3gb of cards. 😡

Excellent set of shots there. Air Lanka standing out especially for me.
9R is used quite a lot for landing when on the 9’s mostly BA and other T4 stuff using it, now seeing something take off on 9L would be a rarity 😀
