I remember when CBS dropped a bomb on the M1A1 tank, and the FB-111. They roundly denounced them as useless failures and tha huge waste of money. But then we found out the Dan Rather was not the brightest piece of chrome in the grill.
That means if CBS is against the F-35, altho it needs more development, It may turn out to be a great airplane like the M1A1 turned out to be a great tank. No American has been killed in combat in an M1A1.
