hey all
Just so you don’t make any wasted trips:
Runway 23L/05R (i.e. Southside) at Manchester will be completely closed from the 5th to the 29th February, to allow maintenance work to be carried out.
Might be nice to spread the word to prevent anyone making wasted photography trips to the area. With the right lenses, you could still get photos of a/c using 23R/05L from the mounds, but the traditional southside photos won’t be obtainable.

Due to the on-going redevelopment of Terminal 1, the landside food court (and all that goes with it) will be closing on February 25th.
Will have to start saying our good-byes to the Donkeystone Pub and the Lancaster Brassarie. Will be the end of an era and an end to one of the great UK landside viewing ‘spots’.
I for one will really miss the food court as it is at the moment – I will have go and find somewhere else to go and relax away from the office!
🙁

Thanks, Adam.
‘Joe’s Field’ and the nearby hill will probably be the best bet for 23R ops shots during that period.
Could get tricky if 05L is in use, though.
