Thanks to my friend Rhona on facebook for these pictures of the Vulcan XL361 taken last week at Goose Bay airport in Newfoundland Canada. She seems to be holding up ok but a couple of things to note, the bombaimers glass panel is tinned over and the main gear doors have been closed.

Cor, Air Transat Tristar – I despatched those from STN a couple of times in the dim and distant!

Nice to see she’s still relatively well looked after, given the fact about her remotensss as has already been stated.
Only time i actually saw “361” was on a flight to Toronto in 1990 and the Air Transat L1011 that we were on had to divert for fuel. Made me feel quite patriotic seeing a Vulcan just outside the door 🙂

Indeed she seems to be surviving very well, given where she’s living. Credit to whoever is looking after her!

I’m quite surprised she is looking this good still although she could warrent a new repaint! I also noticed, those 200 series jet pipes are starting to go like they do!!
