A little puzzle

Recently I was given an envelope full of old negatives to sort through. I got on alright with most of the aircraft, but this one has me stumped. Bits of it look like various other aircraft, but I can’t find one which has all the elements in the one machine.
To make it even more fun, there are two nearly identical (i.e. not the same shot, but obviously taken one after the other), but one of them is a copy neg, because if you put them together with the emulsion on the same side one is the reverse of the other. So I don’t know if this is the right way round or not – the other shot has not survived so well, so this is what I’ll show you..

I don’t know anything much for sure.

What I think is likely is the following, although these ‘facts’ are largely guesswork based on other photos in the envelope, which may or may not be contemporary:
Date is probably some time in 1932 – second week in May would get my vote.
I think it might be Teheran.
The lady in the photo may be Lucy Joan Hoare, wife of Sir Reginald Hervey Hoare, British Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipoteniary in Teheran, 1931-1934.

Anyone care to put me out of my misery?

That short span upper wing suggests something either Italian or Czechoslovakian.
