American Tonight Show host Jay Leno is mad about cars.
He has a huge collection of everything from steam cars (one of his favorite categories) to Duesenbergs (another favorite) to a McLaren F1…and a host on mini cars.
Unlike many celebrities and collectors, he really knows his stuff. He’s quite the expert on the history and mechanics of automobiles. He writes columns about cars for various publications…including one for The Sunday Times.
He produces videos for his website on some of his projects.
Here are two on the Merlin-powered Rolls Royce PI special.
They were shot and posted quite some time apart, so there is a bit of redundancy, but if you’d like a nice look at a Merlin in pieces, you’ll enjoy it.
