The Australian War Memorial have had Google start doing some interior ‘street view’s of items in the collection.
One of them is the Lancaster..

Neat!
My still-unfinished record of my visit inside MOTAT’s ex-French Lancaster (courtesy of the Bomber Command Association).

She also appears to be missing the main spar cover and the control rods and connections for the ailerons.. I thought she would have been pretty complete inside but maybe these parts are still being worked on?

That might be plausible Peter, In January I went the the National Museum of Austarlia’s storage facility to have a good look over thier Dove, It was covered with all sorts of radiation warning signs because of the radium dials!
Same with thier Percival as well.

I wonder if the guages were removed due to radium paint?

good site but am unable to find the Lanc ?? any ideas.
Sorry Victor Tango,
Its under the Museum View (Show all 6) then scroll to the right or can be seen at the direct link Der posted.
The viewer is also an odd interface, as the numbered buttons make you jump to the other items in the collection, so you might be looking around the Lancaster, then all of a sudden in the Japanese sub.

That is the link I copied from my browser victor tango. Shame about the missing instruments, wonder if they were kept or removed for use elsewhere.
