A new beginning for the forum

I have had a lengthy phone conversation with the webmaster this morning which has restored my faith in him and Key Publishing. The principle protagonists are gone so any of you who are still spoiling for a fight beware. I am awaiting a further call from Webby, the results of which I hope to post about later but for now rest assured that it looks like some beneficial changes are going to take place. There are 2 things that now need to occur, firstly I am about to draw up with the Webmaster a Code of Conduct which will be placed as a sticky at the top of the first page of posts. This will be a guide only but following its guidelines will keep you the right side of the Moderator(s). Secondly we need to get our long term friends back. If you are in contact with any of the leavers I urge you to make it your responsibility to encourage them back.

Thanks for listening
Ian White

if we are looking for his alias surly he would have signed up in april when this all started? I doubt he would have been smart enough to pre-empt his banning!

Then plz accept my apologies. I did not mean to insult or discredit you in any way.

I hope you will enjoy this forum and let me give you a very warm welcome. 🙂

SkyHigh is not Skylinerworld but GD and I know which alias is…and Richardwotshisnumber as well. This forum is ticking over just fine at the moment so I propose that as long as it stays that way we live and let live. The important thing is that both those kiddies now know what will happen if they do it again and in a week or so we will have the capability of getting them sorted even quicker.

That grammar looks almost too good to be him. I suspect someone else. Inquiring parties can PM me and we can discuss it.

Presumably the moderators will kick him out at the first hint of trouble.

I HOPE the webbie has also banned his I.P. Although in the case of Richard19896 (Or whatever numers they are!) It doesen’t appear to have been the case unfortunately.

As said before Ian, many thanks, and thanks to the webbie and Key publishing. The website had been badmouthed previously on the online community, and when i reported this to the webbie he asked for URLs – by the time i had got around to searching the other forums moderators had deleated the relevent threads and had dealt with the problems efficiently. I never replied to his PM as i felt sheepish that the evidence had been dealt with effectively.

When i joined this forum 3 years ago there was a lot smaller community and it was run extreamly well. Last september it started to go “downhill” to such a level that all of the original members left – now we need to bring them back and make this into the web community it is designed to be and intended to be used for.

Ian, thanks again, and lets get this place back on track!

Maybe you could start a lost and found thread, detailing those who have been lost to the forum and those who (this is getting a bit biblical!) were lost but are now found…?
We all need those who left to return.

Flood.
